Hokey Pokie
I just had to do a quick post ... little peanut man-thing is doing the hokey pokey inside my belly!! I lifted up my shirt to look at my tummy as he is quite active tonight .... lo and behold, I can now see my belly move on the outside when he kicks! Hummm, kindof makes me think of the diner scene in Space Balls!

kickin' along
Well, it has been a while since I have last post to our little site ... not too much has happened since my last entry. I am currently 24 weeks (6 months for all you folks that are confused by the whole week thing) and have grown quite the belly.
I am still relatively comfortable. Minus the typical aches, pains, and hot flashes I am still feeling pretty good for lugging around an extra 20 pounds or so. I don't know how much weight I have "officially" gained, and I won't know until my next appointment the second week in June. I did, however, throw the scale in the garbage as the weight gain has been relatively depressing to bear!
I am starting to feel the little peanut kick more frequently now. I have yet to reach the point where it feels like he is playing bongos on my kidneys, but it has definitely escalated from the muscle twitch feeling it was before.
Tim and I have been working diligently to complete our lingering home improvement projects. The "nesting" phase has majorly kicked in and I feel the clock starting to tick ... t-minus 3 months until bingo! Actually, some of the urgency I feel is knowing that I will not be able to help Tim with projects for much longer as I know my mobility is only going to decrease from here on out! I have finally given up weeding and have handed that torch to Tim. Tim has been awesome in assuming the chores for which I am normally responsible.
Tim was pretty cute the other night trying to put together the crib we bought. He reached his breaking point of frustration when trying to put in the drop gate and he had to walk away from the project. I walked in and popped in the gate ..presto ... it just needed a woman's touch! He and I make such a good team! Child rearing will be the perfect challenge! Ra Ra Ra goooo TEAM! Now only if I can give myself the same pep talk for labor and delivery!! LOL!
I am hoping to have a 4D ultrasound done in the near future. If I DO have the ultrasound, I will be sure to post pictures!! I hope everyone is well! Until the next time ..... peanut and I will keep kickin' along!!
(Nahla, where are mommy's feet??)
